Description: |
| Aqueous solution.
The combination of lincomycin and spectinomycin acts additive and in some cases synergistic.
Spectinomycin acts bacteriostatic or bactericidal, depending on the dose, against mainly gram-negative bacteria like campylobacteria, E.coli, mycoplasma and salmonella spp. Lincomycin acts as bacteriostatic against mainly gram-positive bacteria like mycoplasma, staphylococcus, streptococcus and treponema spp.
Cross-resistance of lincomycin with macrolides can occur.
Side effect:
Hypersensitivity reactions.
Shortly after injection a slight pain, itching or diarrhoea can occur.
Contra-indications:
Hypersensitivity to lincomycin and/or spectinomycin.
Administration to animals with an impaired renal and/or liver function.
Concurrent administration with penicillines, cephalosporines, quinolones and
cycloserine.

Indication: |
| Gastrointestinal and respiraratory infections caused by lincomycin and
spectinomycin sensitive micro-organisms like
campylobacter, E.coli, mycoplasma, salmonella, staphylococcus, streptococcus and
Treponema spp. in calves, cats, goats, poultry, sheep, swine and turkeys.

Dosage: |
| For intramuscular or subcutaneous administration.
Calves: 1ml per 10 kg body weight for 4 days.
Goats and sheep: 1ml per 10 kg body weight for 3days.
Swine: 1ml per 10 kg body weight for 3-7 days.
Cats and dogs: 1ml per 5 kg body weight for3-5 days.
Poultry and turkeys: 0.5ml per 2.5 kg body weight for 3days.
Withdrawal times:
- for meat:
Calves, goats, sheep and swine: 14 days.
Poultry and turkeys: 7 days.
- for milk: 3 days.
